With e-commerce having changed the landscape of retail, Digital Zest designers drew upon the influences of accepted e-commerce portals yet spinning these expected design expectations and formats into selling the unique products of the Perkins & Morley team. E-commerce is a competitive field and the strong design encouraged immediate engagement together with effective ‘Call To Actions’. The speed of online retail user experience had to have the double whammy of impulse buys from consumers couple with new, steady and increased orders from trade buyers. Our design team weaved in the flexibility and ease of use with shopping carts, access to previous orders, effective use of breadcrumb navigation and a the use of a ‘load more’ button for an appealing and rewarding user experience. Key to any design company is the access to new ranges which was prominently placed on the main website. From the outset, the Digital Zest team worked tirelessly to create a synergy between retail and trade customers with clever use of icons and colours during the user experience together with an innovative use of expected e-commerce markers (such as arrows) during the buying process.
